I could say this…
“At work, a co worker’s phone rings. The ring sounds like an animal. I ask them what’s the ringtone, and they say it’s a turkey. They even imitate the gobble! It reminded me of you poking fun at my turkey gobbling noises. It made me laugh!”
Is that too long? Is it too ridiculous? It’s a bold, interesting text. Idk, maybe I should play it more safe. Haha. Or maybe I should take a chance on this text. He always said he loved how silly we are together. So maybe this text would work…
November 11, 2015 at 12:29 am #56096I think it’s too long. 254 characters. Hmmm, how can I make this shorter…
EDIT: “Discovered my co worker’s cell has a turkey ringtone. He even imitated the sound! Reminded me of you poking fun at my Hokiebird gobbling noises. Made me laugh!”
What about this? much shorter.
November 11, 2015 at 7:09 am #56106Hahah that’s awesome.
What about “a friend’s ringtone is a turkey. I couldn’t help myself and imitated the turkey sound. It was awesome and you definitely would have laughed!”
Something like that?
November 11, 2015 at 7:10 am #56107Sorry just saw your last post! That one is good too!
November 11, 2015 at 11:43 am #56117i like it! that story made me laugh haha the text seems pretty fun, and I think he will respond positively to something like that. could be a great conversation starter especially if y’all both relate to it ๐
November 11, 2015 at 1:28 pm #56122Haha, yea it’s a silly story.
Alright, I’m going to give this a try tonight! If he doesn’t reply he has zero sense of humor anymore. Haha.
November 11, 2015 at 1:48 pm #56124What do you guys think about me sending a text first to peak his curiosity? Like saying, “You will never believe what just happened!” Or “You will never believe what I just saw!” And then making him wait for an hour and replying with my turkey story?
I like the idea of making him wait for an hour and keep checking his phone/thinking about me but it could backfire. He might not respond to my first text and then I don’t get to tell my story…
November 11, 2015 at 2:43 pm #56126Yeah I don’t like that first text, it doesn’t really work I guess when you are uncertain where the other person stands. It’s def a pretty big gamble. If he does reply I feel like he won’t really be excited by it, more like “what?” And that would make you feel bad and might also take away from the storie. I wouldn’t do it haha it’s great if he is excited to talk to you but if he isn’t or if he is in a mood it’s a tough sell
November 11, 2015 at 2:54 pm #56127Yea, I’m going to ex the first text. It’s too much trouble.
November 11, 2015 at 2:55 pm #56128*ax not ex, I’m not going to send that
November 13, 2015 at 12:55 am #56163Did you end up texting him? ๐
November 13, 2015 at 1:57 am #56165No…I chickened out. I keep second guessing myself. I just need to stop overanalyzing and do it already. I’m just afraid.
I’ll send something soon and let you guys know.
November 13, 2015 at 2:04 am #56166It’s no rush! Time is on your side ๐
November 13, 2015 at 3:01 pm #56175You guys. I feel like I’m unraveling a little bit.
I can’t even figure out why. But I just feel defeated. And I don’t want to text him again until I feel better. I need like a pep talk or something. I felt like I got my confidence back after NC and now it’s rapidly fading again. I don’t know, maybe it’s the holidays coming up. I just feel like I’m losing him. Like he’s completely over me.
November 13, 2015 at 3:10 pm #56176Ugh. Sorry, that was so emo. Haha.
I just don’t know what happened to me. I use to be so ballsy and now I’m a wimp.
