What does she want???

Hi all,

My ex gf and I broke up in January, we were together for 5 years. We broke up mainly because she wanted to stay in Australia and begin a life there , and I wanted to come back home. We kept in touch for a while but then she told me it was not a good idea, I also came to know that she a new guy, so NC started.

3 months ago, after 40 days of NC I texted her, and she immediately responded and asked for a video call, she seemed really excited and after 2 hours of talking she had to go, she cried at the end of the call.

I waited 2 weeks and texted her, and since then weve been on and off contact, sometimes her replies are better than other. I did not like this so i stoppped initiating. So now she texts me randomly , mostly sharing a meme, and i reply with a laugh or another meme. Whenever i have tried to continue a conversation, i feel her replies are not good and she doesnt ask anything about me or my life.

So, I dont know what to do , should I ask her directly what are we doing,or go on like this or just stop replying and initiate NC again?

She lives in Australia and you’re somewhere else. The contacts you’ve had with each other are very casual and won’t help get to a solution as to what to do… like which one of you is willing to move to be near the other. If she’s still with another guy, then contact or no contact won’t matter. I suggest you date others where you are and hopefully someday you’ll find someone else to have a lovely relationship with…

You can try asking your ex if she wants to move to you and be married or you have to be willing to move back to Australia and get engaged. If after 5 years, neither of you want engagement or marriage, it would be better for you to move on.

Try not to dwell on good memories from your past relationship as it will only serve to keep you stuck and won’t allow you to give your heart to another.
