I kept going with my NC and it has been 20 days. We are working with my ex. He is not a regular. The total of two times we have seen each other before we both tried too hard to avoid each other. Just a formal how are you on his part and a curt fine on mine…
Today however he showed up unexpectedly. The twist is I told another colleague I will be in the office today on our Whatsapp group. So he showed up too for apparently nothing but chatting.
I avoided him and he saw me and greet me very cheerfully. I said fine and did not ask back. He then greeted me total of three times. Asking very eagerly how I am doing.
All times I avoided eye contact and tried my best for being short (while remaining polite).
At some point he asked me a question about an upcoming trip and I answered him smiling. I also had to ask for his mouse and while he was leaving he insisted I keep it and even failed at a joke in a cute way.
He also started to look at my Whatsapp statuses.
All our seemingly break up was over misunderstandings and thus becoming clingy and needy on my part. Now that I look back his feelings for me were real. I am not sure if I could recover any of that but today left me hopeful honestly.
I am still intent on completing my NC to 30 days. But this Whatsapp status thing still confuses me.
Any advice?
