Need someone to check my plan...

Well, my girlfriend of 5 months dumped me right after Valentine’s Day. It was the most healthy relationship I had been in (or so I thought), and the breakup came as a surprise. Her parents loved me, we traveled a lot together, etc. Because it was two days after the holiday and we had just had a conversation where she said “thank you for listening and I want to keep dating you” and inviting me to dinner with her mother, she dumped me. I’ve been surprised like this before (after a holiday where I spent money, lol) and it angered me so much I basically just walked off and didn’t ask for an explanation.

About a month later I texted her and asked if she wanted to talk, and she politely said that’s not the direction she wants to go in and I shouldn’t have walked away. According to her friend and her, she wasn’t at all happy that I asked for my sweatshirts back and walked away without letting her explain. My idea is to wait maybe another month or two and then text her, basically saying, “hope you’re well, just seeing if you’d be open to getting lunch, even if you don’t want to date again I’d still like to hear you out, I’m sorry I walked off…” anyone have any advice? Thanks!

@frostjack123 If this is the same girl you wrote her about in December, you’re having way too much trouble with this particular girl!! And you are fretting about the situation with her… Love isn’t this difficult if the two people are in a normal relationship. It seems she is unstable and I suggest letting her go her way and find someone new.

Lol nope this is a different girl. My first post was from over 1.5 years ago, this is different situation, thankfully

@frostjack123 I see nothing wrong with wanting your sweatshirts, unless it (they were a gift). Anyway, yeah, send a text or email asking her out for lunch. Hopefully you’ll get an explanation as to why she broke up with you.

Be careful and be safe…
