Hello, I work with my ex, we broke up 2 months (his decision more than mine) ago but lived together till last Wednesday. He would like to be friends and says he still loves me. Since we work together and also have a band together I can’t apply the no contact rule but I am not texting him or calling him. He is sick (with a flu) and he hasn’t come to work in the last days. Should I text him to get well or keep not contacting him even if I could look kinda cruel? We are both not from the US and don’t have family to take care of us so we always took care of each other and I am worried he might need help and think I am insensitive and selfish and that could not be productive for my intent to get him back. Why did he break up with you? How long were you a couple? How long did you live with him?
If you agreed to be friends, you could send him best wishes to get well soon, just like a friend would do. I assume he’s a grown man and can take care of himself! The flu isn’t the sort of disability that might require some assistance.
