So in my first initial topic I wrote how my boyfriend of over two years left me, I gave him four days of no contact and then he texted me and we had talked stuff out and then we met up by a near by park to go swimming. We were very lovey dovey and I told him I don’t want to rush back into anything we need o work on communication and he agreed, he said he was upset about his decision to leave me. A few days ago I saw him at work and he was kissing me and hugging me, but then after that he started becoming cold and more distant, and I believed it to be due to him needing to catch up on his work, his school work, etc. but when I’d say I loved him he wouldn’t respond, until last night I asked why, he told me how he loves me but rn he doesn’t want to be with me and doesn’t know about the future, and it destroyed me. He’s just been so hot and cold and it hurts, because we’ve been doing fine and weren’t official or anything. I talked to one of his friends about it and he had said that I just need to give him time and he’ll come around and that he just has a lot on his mind. Thoughts and help please…?
And I asked him if we were over for good or friends and see what happens (which is what I told him when we met up and talked) but he only kept saying just friends
You’re both 17. He’s not ready or willing to be in a relationship with you again. Asking about your status and telling him you love him won’t change his mind. He has to figure things out on his own.
Can’t you be friendly without being needy?
Hugging/kissing at work isn’t appropriate.
But you see… he was the one that initiated it, I told him originally let’s be friends and see what happens…
