My boyfriend and I broke up about a month ago. The short version is that I have been goingn through some personal stuff and he didn’t believe I should be in a relationship while going through it. We both still love each other so the break up was confusing and difficult. We have kept contact for the past month, but it’s mostly been on my part. I decided to give him a letter stating exactly where I stand and then I started no contact. That was about a day ago. Is it too late for NC to work?

Not too late I started at 2 months and yes I too wonder if it is but in my case I don’t think so and in yours neithet
