Athens,
I feel exactly like that.
I guess that is why today I see my situation from a different perspective. One think is for sure, NC is essentially for us and we need to become a better version of ourselves. Then we can face any situation, even our ex.August 23, 2014 at 10:22 am in reply to: No Contact Annoymous – Share your struggles with keeping NC #4380Sunshine,
My ex is almost like your ex. A good guy, respectful and yes he did initiate the breakup. I know he loves me. But at this point, if you ask me I need him to contact me. I want him to show me a sign that he cares. But after 4 months I may feel so much better so I could initiate contact. I guess only time will tell.

So you don’t think your ex could contact you at all?

Well I don’t have any tips 🙁
But all of them got back together after 5-6 months.
My closest friend just ended contact with her ex and he eventually called her after 5 months (he broke up with her).
My other friend initiated contact after 6 months since she was the one who broke up with her boyfriend.
My other friend just happen to meet her ex somewhere and decided to get back together. So I guess the person who asks to break up is the one who initiates contact. Maybe the NC plan does work to a certain extent.

August 23, 2014 at 9:25 am in reply to: No Contact Annoymous – Share your struggles with keeping NC #4365Hey James,
There are some success stories somewhere on this website (if I find it I’ll post it).
And I also know some couples who are close friends of mine and they got back together but I don’t know if they actually followed this specific plan.August 23, 2014 at 9:14 am in reply to: No Contact Annoymous – Share your struggles with keeping NC #4362Sunshine,
My plan is a 3 month NC but I might extend it to 4. And honestly don’t know what will I do after that. If you ask me today, I am thinking of doing nothing at all. I see it as personal goal. To see how better and stronger will I be after 3-4 months..

Thanks for the support. But today it’s one of these days where you feel angry with yourself cause you’re fighting for someone who doesn’t want to be with you…
August 23, 2014 at 4:12 am in reply to: No Contact Annoymous – Share your struggles with keeping NC #4345Hey you guys,
Almost 40 days of NC. Sometimes I don’t how am I supposed to feel. All these mixed emotions! Today what bugs me the most is the fact I once told him (at the beginning of our break up) that I will wait for him. I have realised how stupid that was. What was I thinking??? And I know that he still believes that and it makes me angry.
Rough days….

As Kevin points out:
‘Once you’ve moved on and stopped contacting your partner, he or she will begin to miss you. They may even miss the feeling of being chased. Because even though they may have acted unresponsive or annoyed, it created the feeling of desirability’
It’s up to us to turn the tables 😉

Try not to feel like this. Trust me I am trying to follow my own advice here. I am in my 35th day of NC and haven’t heard from him either. But I try no to focus on that. I have a long road ahead of me.
The day I will feel confident and happy I will contact him myself. Because that is what we are supposed to do. Fight for the one we love. 🙂
Hi Girly,
You are indeed at the early stages of NC. Stay calm and you will see that things will be much better day by day. Just be patient.
A.Z
Your words surely can give strength (as usual). Especially about this ex that shocked you by being great after his NC. Hope works for me as well 😉
Keep up being amazing..

Thank you! Believe me it is so hard sometimes to follow my own words lool!
But I think we have the strength to do it!August 20, 2014 at 11:13 am in reply to: No Contact Annoymous – Share your struggles with keeping NC #3875LA,
That’s a tough call there. I mean you were feeling all these things while she was talking to you, which most of them are not that positive, and yet you want to know if there is a chance to win her back. You mean you will ask her? I think you should ask yourself first. Do you really want her back in your life? I am only asking cause you weren’t that attracted to her. I would recommend you wait a bit longer (like a day or two) before you contact her. And then see what your gut feeling tells you..;)

I wish I could find the exact words to make you feel better. Maybe cause I almost face the same situation. I broke up 3 an a half months ago and begun NC a month ago. And damn it is so hard!
I wouldn’t say you broke your NC plan. I mean you didn’t initiate a contact with her so you are fine. I kind of check my ex’s FB profile sometimes and I know I shouldn’t. But it’s ok. I call it a minor slip-up.
And yes there are days where you wonder if this is all worth it. You are the only one who can give this answer. If you love her deeply no matter what, then I say you stay strong and fight it. But first you have to face your demons and become a confident person because that what she wants to see in the end.
We can do this! -
