My girlfriend and I of two years (been together for nearly 4) just recently broke up and I’m in a weird spot. She’s 19 I’m 21 and we’ve been long distance for a while and I kind of messed the no contact thing up for a while and pushed her away. However the last week or so I’ve been completely on my game and haven’t done a thing. Here’s the thing, I’m stationed in Asia and I go home on leave next Friday. Shes visiting her friends at school and is constantly posting things (of course) but she’ll be home when I get there. I only have thirty days to be home so I obviously have to contact her and see her to try to make things work right?

How long have you been doing NC? When do you come home from Asia for good? Who broke up with who?

About 2 weeks now, I come home for good next February and she broke up with me. Doesn’t look great but I’ve been with her pretty much since she was 15 and I was her first everything.

Give it longer, at least 30 days and then gradually increase the frequency of communication. How often did you two communicate?

As for when you come home in two weeks then try to avoid her. If you see her in public then be polite but make an excuse to leave ASAP.

We communicated everyday, FaceTime texting pretty much every day for two years we were very close. The thing is I go home for 30 days and then I won’t be back for another 7 months so how is not seeing her going to help my cause.

You could certainly try. Leave it until you get home though
