So break up end of sept/ early oct…nc for 3 weeks the first time. now im on my second round of NC and Ive kept it since a few days before Christmas. The main reason for the break up was him taking a job in Europe and deciding he needed to focus on himself. We had been together 5 years. I really want to reach out to him… because I’m scared the longer I wait the less chance I have. But my problems are: 1. what do I say in my email?/ how do I get him to want to talk to me on Skype again (we talked a few times after he left but then stopped because of an emotional conversation…he removed me from his contact list) 2. How can I convince him to overcome this distance? If it wasn’t for this job, I know we would be together.

I came up with a couple drafts for my short email:

    Hi XXX,

I found out The Rail (bar) closed here, and it made me think of those fun times we used to have there. It’s a shame it went out of business.

And you wouldn’t believe what Dodger’s (my cat) been up to. He’s discovered how to turn on the switches to the lights and fan in my bathroom with his teeth! I’ve also caught him opening drawers and throwing my stuff out.

I know it’s been awhile since we last talked. I hope you and Mercury (his cat) are doing well.

    or:

    Hi XXX,

I know its been awhile since we last talked, but the weather here is so beautiful today it made me hope it was over there for you as well! It’s finally starting to feel like spring.
(should I mention my cat’s crazy antics again?)
Anyway I hope you and Mercury have been doing well.

I need help/ opinions on this email. I don’t want to scare him off and I want to keep it light and friendly. Which is why I mentioned my cat – that always made him laugh. I want him to respond and to keep the conversation going… should I ask him a question? Im kind of lost here…any help would be so appreciated!!!
