So I realize that messaging is counted as breaching. However, I wonder if posting on Facebook is? I am not posting about him or referencing him. I just get tagged in things and post about going to different places. He is friends with me on facebook so I was wondering if that is breaching?
    Thanks

I personally blocked my ex from facebook because there you can see things ex posts and ex could see my posts on the wall etc..because fb is kinda place where you see every friend post even on cellphone..so how you could get over somebody if you see his/hers posts everyday?

I don’t think being friends on Facebook is breaching NC as long as you don’t use it to message him.

Thankfully he’s not really active in posting on facebook so I never see his posts. I see his friends’ and brother’s but they are not really about him. Thanks for the advice, I was just worried that somehow him knowing what I’m up to by my posts would interfere with the no contact.

You can actually still be his friend on Facebook but unfollow everything he posts. Go to his profile, and unfollow him. His post will never appear on your news fed. That’s what I did. I use Facebook as an advantage to make him wonder, curious, and miss me. I would post up pictures of me having fun with family, work outs, etc. I would prefer you don’t post up pics of you getting crunk in the club, drinking relentless, anything bad actually. (Just as an example.)
Let him see that you’re doing fine.

Social media is a great tool to use to your advantage. It is an easy way to show your progress through no contact by showing signs of improvements and changes that you have made to better yourself. But I highly reccommend you unfollow his posts. This will only serve as a smokescreen to your goal of no contact for a month. You are better off using this time to focus on you and not him.

@man from finland Do you really think that Facebook will make him not miss me? I mean theoretically he would see that I am doing fine but wouldn’t he still wonder why I am not talking to him?
