Do I reset NC?

Do you start over with NC if you had a conversation when picking up your stuff through text?
Timeframe: it happened 1 week and a half in NC

We had a small talk and he did say he regretted everything that happened and even wondered how I felt now. He still remained firm that he feels like he was lacking the ability to care for me. I didn’t mention wanting to get back with him but did reply I still liked him and wasn’t sure what to feel about the whole ordeal either.

I do have to say that this conversation ended the relationship on a way better note than our last previous conversation so that gave me some relief so that’s good for me.

But of course it raised the following question if that counts as breaking NC or not?

You wrote in your other post:”He on the other hand is also aware of his mistakes and also told me when breaking up that he would like to find a solution on his lack of mental support before considering a relationship again”. No contact will give him a chance to think about his lack of mental support and what he might do differently if you two reunite. No contact will give you time to make self-improvements and to try to develop a more positive view of life. No contact will also give him a chance to miss you.

@patricia12 Alright! I do want to specify I haven’t been on contact since then. So it was really a one time breaking the contact thing.

@Magnolia So it sounds like you two had a civil conversation in person a week and 1/2 ago when you went to his place to pick up your things..

So continue no contact for at least another 3 weeks.

@patricia12 Ok will do! I was actually even thinking of making that a bit longer because he’s a very stubborn guy. Now I know he’ll reply but I want to be 100% sure things are better for both of us. 🙂
