Her having 2 children out of wedlock by 2 different men is difficult for me to understand. I’m assuming her daughter’s father was the 2nd relationship. So if the guy was emotionally/mentally abusive, I’m wondering why she didn’t leave him long before she ended up with PTSD? Actually that’s a rhetorical question, but maybe she was afraid you would eventually treat her badly too and has developed a mistrust/fear of men in general..
You state a very logical reason why you didn’t introduce your children to your family! These are scary/dangerous times and we all need to be careful to protect our families.
I hope you post again after you get your tools to describe how the process worked out.
